Hindi is one of the official languages spoken in India. This program teaches you how to type in Hindi and increase your typing speed.
The program has a nice and colorful interface that reminds me a child game, which is not bad at all. To start using the program, you need to create an account with a username and a password. Once you have logged in, you will find an index with the different parts of the program. First are the tutorials, which are entirely in Hindi, and will teach you how to place your fingers on the keyboard to write given Hindi characters. Then, you will need to type a series of characters using the appropriate fingers. The program will time your progress and will show your typing speed.
As its name implies, the Tests section features a series of customizable tests for you to practice your typing. You can set these tests to show or hide the upcoming words, to enable or disable the backspace and set the time you need to complete the test. The program will show the time you spent doing the test, your typing speed and the words you typed right and wrong.
The program also includes several extra features such as a Unicode converter, a newspaper typing mode, and a Tough Words practice to increase your learning of particularly difficult words.
If you don't have a Hindi font installed on your system, you can download DevLys font, which is also free, at the developer's website. Also, on the startup screen, you will find a YouTube link to different tutorials. Unfortunately, it seems that they refer to the previous version of the program, but they can be useful nevertheless.
In sum, it is an excellent program for learning how to type in Hindi and for increasing your typing speed in that language.
